Time to get a few more ski descents after this last big storm. Carl, his neighbor Mark, and I met up at the Park and Ride off 285 at 5:30am on Sunday and headed for Quartzville where we met Bill and Caroline. I met up with Carl at the Park and Ride off 285 and 470 at 4:00am on Saturday morning. We drove to the Denny Creek TH where Lance and Caroline had car camped for the night, we all shook hands and were on the trail by 6:30. Continuous snow started about 200 yards from the parking lot, the trail was well packed by previous feet so we chose to boot it for awhile. I was looking for another ski descent this past weekend as the weather was excellent again and winter is coming to a close soon. First requirement was a partner, which I quickly found in an old hiking buddy Jon. Jon skis quite a bit and I figured he would be into the idea of getting a ski descent from a 14er summit so I called him and sure enough, he soaked it right up. With Stu down to 10 peaks left, Grays was next on the list. We decided to hit it on Saturday the 28th and it turned out to be another stellar day in the mountains. Ryan decided to join us, his first climb since getting HAPE on Aconcagua and stabbed in Mendoza, it was great to have him along and in good health.
